Global Foxcom’s Sat-Light/Gold 70/140 MHz IF Link offers a powerful and cost-effective alternative to conventional coaxial systems. The Sat-Light/Gold L-Band IFL operates in the range of 10 to 200 MHz. The Gold Series L-Band link is designed for a variety of satellite upload and download facilities where high CNR (Carrier-to-Noise Ratio) values are required. The Global Foxcom DFB laser with a high dynamic range delivers exceptional signal quality for the most demanding applications. The new Sat-Light Gold series is compatible with the first generation of the Sat-Light 7000 Series platform. The Gold Series supports L-Band, 70/140 MHz IF, broadband (10-2200 MHz), 10 MHz reference, redundancy, M & C, SNMP, Ethernet, and serial data communication. The link consists of an optical transmitter with high input power that receives the RF signal from an IF modem, and an optical receiver connected to the antenna BUC (Block Upconverter). All satellite modulation schemes – digital or analog – are supported. Intrinsically low phase noise is achieved through direct modulation of the laser diode.
