The Platinum L-Band products from Global Foxcom are designed to meet the increasing demand for modularity and high performance in a compact format for superior long-distance transmissions. The link operates at full capacity up to 100 km. High RF input power and wide dynamic range make the link suitable for both uplink and downlink applications.
Thanks to Global Foxcom’s DigiRF technology, the user has full control over all essential functions for setup, operation, and analysis via the LCD front panel or the SNMP capability of the associated sub-rack.
Additionally, the automated calibration system IMizer, integrated into the link, allows the user to tune the IMD/CNR of the RF links to specific linearity requirements without a two-tone test. Select the desired IMD for the optical transmitter locally or remotely, and IMizer automatically adjusts the laser control to meet the IMD requirements.
Each flat individual transmitter or receiver can be hot-swapped in the sub-rack chassis, ensuring maximum system availability. Each module contains its own processor to maximize specification performance under demanding user applications at all times.
The Platinum transmitter and receiver are designed for mounting in a sub-rack chassis. The associated Platinum chassis features 12 active slots, one main control processor (MCP) slot, and two redundant power supplies. Even under full load of the sub-rack and complete LNB power supply, no fans are required.
