Gigabit Ethernet Media converter

The Intellinet Media Converter integrates fiber optic cables into an existing copper cable network for a LAN upgrade with minimal cost and effort. It operates transparently – performance and functionality remain unchanged, and the network is simply expanded to support both media – copper and fiber.

Increased Range

Through fiber optic support, even distant devices can be integrated into the network. This allows for seamless building-to-building connections without the need for additional access points.

Flexibility

Thanks to its compact design, this converter can be used in desktop applications with limited space as well as in wall-mount distributors. Multiple converters can be installed in an Intellinet 19“ media converter chassis.

• 10/100/1000Base-T auto-sensing RJ45 port, maximum range 100 m (Cat5e or higher)
• RJ45 port with auto MDI/MDI-X support
• SFP port for optical transceiver modules (SFP module not included)
• Port for Mini GBIC 1.25G SFP modules - Gigabit multimode or single-mode
• Status LEDs for power and link/TX for both ports
• External power supply, 5 V
• Can be used as a standalone converter or in a 14-slot media converter chassis
